How do I create an appointment?

There are several ways to add appointments:

Touch and drag on empty time slot

Select and drag to set duration

Set the appointment duration

Adjust timing as needed

Add client and details

Fill in appointment information

Save the appointment

Confirm and create the booking

Hold on any empty time slot

Select the desired time

Fill in appointment details

Add service and notes

Search and select client

Set timing and save

Confirm duration and create

Open a client's profile

Navigate to the client

Tap "New event"

Access scheduling from profile

Select date and time

Choose appointment slot

Client automatically linked

No need to search for client

Can I reschedule appointments?

Yes! Simply drag any existing appointment to a new time slot. The appointment will automatically move to the new time while keeping all the details intact.

When creating or editing an appointment:

  1. Use the client dropdown menu
  2. Search for the client by name
  3. Select them from the list
  4. The appointment appears in their history automatically

This creates a complete appointment timeline for each client.

What calendar views are available?

Choose the view that works best for you:

  • 1 Day: Focus on today's schedule
  • 3 Days: See a few days at once
  • 5 Days: Weekly planning view

Swipe left or right to navigate between dates, or tap "Today" to return to the current date.

How do I set my working hours?

Go to Settings > Calendar to configure:

  • Start of week: Sunday or Monday
  • Working hours: When you're available for appointments
  • Days to show: 1, 3, or 5-day view
  • Time slots: How appointments are divided

Time outside your working hours will be visually blocked.

How do I edit appointment details?

Tap any existing appointment to:

  • Change the title or description
  • Modify start time and duration
  • Switch the linked client
  • Add or update notes
  • Delete the appointment if needed

Can I see upcoming appointments on my dashboard?

Absolutely! Your dashboard shows:

  • Today's Events: Remaining appointments for today
  • Calendar Widget: Monthly overview with busy/free indicators
  • Event Status: Color-coded by timing (current, upcoming)

This gives you schedule awareness at a glance.

Does the calendar work in different languages?

Yes! ellume supports:

  • English: US date and time formatting
  • German: European date formatting and localization

The calendar adapts to your language settings automatically.

What if I have a complex schedule?

ellume handles busy schedules efficiently:

  • Automatic time slots: 15-minute intervals for precise scheduling
  • Overlap detection: Highlight overlaps between appointments
  • Visual organization: Color coding and clear time blocks
  • Quick navigation: Jump to any date instantly

Can I see a client's appointment history?

Yes! Open any client profile to see:

  • All past appointments
  • Upcoming bookings
  • Total visit count
  • Appointment patterns over time

This helps you track your relationship and plan future services.

Does my calendar sync across devices?

All calendar data syncs automatically:

  • Appointments and client links
  • Working hours and preferences
  • Calendar settings and views
  • Works offline with sync when online

Changes on one device appear instantly on all your other devices.
