Dashboard
What the dashboard shows and how to use it
The dashboard is the first screen after you sign in. From top to bottom it shows a header, shortcut cards, announcements, today's appointments, your insights and upcoming birthdays. An input bar for the AI assistant sits at the bottom.
What is in the header?
- Your name and studio name on the left. Tap them to open Settings.
- Search: searches clients, appointments, chats and transactions. See Search.
- Chat History: opens your past AI chats. You can also swipe in from the right edge of the screen.
- Gear icon: opens Settings.
What are the shortcut cards?
The cards take you straight to a feature:

Can I rearrange the cards?
Yes. Touch and hold a card, then drag it to a new place. The order is saved automatically on this device. Cards cannot be hidden or added.
What does "Today's Events" show?
A row of cards with today's appointments that you created. All-day appointments are not included. Swipe to move between them. Each card shows the time, title, client and status:
- Scheduled or Starts in … min
- In progress
- Complete Session: the appointment has ended and has not been closed yet
- Completed, No-Show or Canceled
Depending on the status, a card offers quick actions: cancel the appointment, mark a no-show, or close the appointment with Smart Close. Tap a card to open the appointment in the calendar.
If you have no appointments today, you see All clear.
What is in the Insights section?
The Insights section is fixed. You cannot reorder or hide its widgets.
A month view. Days with bookings are colored by how much of your working hours is booked:
- Free (green): under 50%
- Busy (yellow): 50% to 75%
- Full (red): 75% or more
Days without bookings stay uncolored. An all-day appointment with Block time makes the day Full. Canceled appointments and no-shows do not count. Tap the widget to open the calendar.
Up to three free gaps of at least one hour within your working hours, looking 60 days ahead. Tap a gap to create an appointment for that time.
The number of appointments this week, compared with next week.
The share of your clients who are active. A client counts as inactive if they have never booked, or if their last booking was more than 60 days ago. Upcoming bookings count as active. Tap the widget to open your clients.
This month's income and expenses, the change compared with last month, how much of your income you spent, and your latest transaction. Tap the widget to open Finances.
If you hid amounts in Finances with the eye icon, they are hidden here too.
What does the Birthdays widget show?
Clients whose birthday falls between today and the end of the current month, with the age they turn. Tap See all for the full list. The widget is hidden when there are no birthdays.
What are the announcement cards?
Short messages from ellume. Tap the X to dismiss a card. A dismissed card stays hidden on all your devices.
How does search work?
Tap the search icon in the header and type at least two characters. ellume searches:
- Clients: name, email and phone
- Events: title, description and client name
- Chats: your AI chats
- Transactions: the description
Each section shows up to five results. Search works offline. Notes and images are not included.
What is the input bar at the bottom?
It starts a new chat with the AI assistant. You can type, attach files, turn on web search or use voice input.
